shop: Sophie Dear

I'm currently coveting these space lockets by Sophie Dear. The only thing that has so far stopped me from buying one is that I can't choose a favourite.

made: Camera Strap

When I saw this diy on D E S I G N L O V E F E S T I couldn't wait to try it out. It is such a quick and easy make and while the photos don't do it justice it looks neat and sturdy.

I changed a few things from the original - mainly around the leather parts - the shape and the way it is attached - and added a stitch to make it look stronger (this is an aesthetic thing really, the fabric glue is strong enough to hold it all together without the stitch). I'm really happy with the finished product.

in the post

I've been on a bit of a postcard binge lately and ordered a whole bundle to scatter across my walls a few weeks ago. They all arrived on the same day so lots of lovely post for me!

Most of the big birthdays in year are clustered around April and May so around this time of year I get to buy all the things I've had my eye on all year and it's all entirely justified. This is what I got one of my friends.

watching: Archipelago

Ever since first watching Archipelago I've been quietly obsessed with it. The landscape is beautiful and strangely exotic and I love spying on all the uncomfortable, cringey and comic moments as the family slowly and clumsily weave their way through a holiday that longs to end. The greatest and most embarrassing scene of the lot being the one set over dinner in a vast and otherwise empty restaurant.

Just a few photos from last year that made me smile on Monday when I found them.

Last weekend, for a friend's birthday we all scaled the heights of Centre Point for Sunday lunch at Paramount. The view across London was amazing.
