Ever since first watching
Archipelago I've been quietly obsessed with it. The landscape is beautiful and strangely exotic and I love spying on all the uncomfortable, cringey and comic moments as the family slowly and clumsily weave their way through a holiday that longs to end. The greatest and most embarrassing scene of the lot being the one set over dinner in a vast and otherwise empty restaurant.
